Jim Gorham and his wife Karen have lived in Washington most of their adult lives. They have three grown children and six grandchildren. Jim is retired from a sales career with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. His favorite author is Dr. Suess, whose works he has spent hours reading to his children and grandchildren. The most recent book he checked out of the Washington Free Public Library is The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
Jim has served on the library board for 11 years, and has has been a member of the library foundation since its inception in 1998.
